Looking at radiotimes.com, it seems that from the 22nd May, The Price Is Right is going to be on for an hour (from 5pm-6pm) on all regions except UTV, who still only have it for 30 minutes.
If you read the description though, it says it is a double bill rather than one hour long programme. This being the reason why UTV can still get away with only showing the first half hour.
Aha. The classic. Much better then the dreary tune used now.
That really was unbelievably camp (and brilliant). They must have known just how fruity that was even in the early 70s. One of the greatest themes of all time. Why were all the truly great TV themes made in the 60s and 70s?

Do they really expect people to watch 2 episodes a day, 5 days a week. As usual they are on overkill.
Personally I've always been in favour of showing the original US versions of a lot of these gameshows in off-peak slots. Perhaps this could be implemented on Challenge or ITV Play?
ISTR that WHSmith's "Lifestyle" channel did this in the very early 90s. The US shows have high budgets and production values, and episodes can be bought for peanuts.
Caught the end of today's TPIR and noticed that the voiceover was different - instead of Peter Dickson, it was Mike Hurley (a regular voiceover on many commercials down the years), it also sounded as if the voiceover was added in post-production on the episode.

There was one day that Peter Dickson couldn't do in the schedule.
There will be a handful of episodes with Mike's voice...

It's only for one week so calm down
That's what you get for reading advance schedules too far in advance
Well apparently this double helping of has been scrapped and replaced with.... Coronation Street Secrets. Is confidence in the series running out already at ITV towers?

The producer's weren't really happy about 2 back-to-back either...
May be worth noting The Price Is Right is also shown on TV3, but at 6pm. Part of that great old agreement thay have to re-broadcast ITV shows, but not sure what they're doing about the viewers competition
Probably a big caption saying the competition is closed to ROI entrants!
