Watching the 5pm version, I'm not very impressed. The graphics are too Supermarket Sweep, the music is crap, the models don't excite me as much as the Brucie versions, and how boring is it when they just walk onto the wheel? Not like in Brucies where it had it's own little title sequence and music.

And, has anyone realised that they have dropped the top Showcase Showdown range from £5k to £3k? They also took £50 off the bullseye in.. Bullseye.

It's actually 4 grand...

I thought it was ok, the budget is obviously going to be lower than the Brucie version, they are after all making something like 150 of these progammes. For a daytime gameshow it's budget is on a par with most other programmes, if not better.

It didn't seem quite so Daytime Lite as its predecessors ie. Family Fortunes / Catchprase.

It's just Joe's voice grates on me.

Was there an audience? Cos Catchphrase Lite and Family Fortunes Lite didn't have one...

Oh, I suppose there would have been, cos otherwise there wouldn't be anyone to "Come on Down" and it woun't make for a very interesting show just watching Joe standing there for 30 minutes on his own... Laughing

Prize seems to have gone down anyway on ITV Gameshows, WOF gave away £20,000 and then it went to like £2,000.

It was not a bad show but the Showcase was a bit crap to what good old Bruce gave away, and Bruce's Music was better too.

So what reason/justification did ITV have for moving CITV considering that The Price Is Right is now going to be shown at 5pm?????

Exactly. Why not move Rising Damp to 5:30pm and CITV back where it belongs?

Arrow CITV is where it belongs - on a seperate channel
Arrow The damp rose on some comedies 40 years ago, let them settle under the water table PLEASE

I know it sounds odd and innovative, but why can't ITV come up with something new......... it might get viewers!

I'm disappointed the theme tune's changed. I liked the original "Da-da-da-dah, da da da dee" This new one is utter library rubbish.

errr, they HAVE to screen at least 9 hours of children's programmes a week on ITV1 - as part of their public service remit. It is shown at the wrong time and should go back to its original timeslot - more impact for the younger viewers and most of all building up their product (i.e. ITV) so that people will stick with the broadcaster throughout their life. At this moment in time ITV ARE losing younger viewers because of mis-timed programmes and in the end they will lose the most important group of people (16-34) due to their new viewing habits of NOT watching ITV.

Off topic I know, but it does seem stupid as to why they shifted Citv for no apparent reason - only to show REPEATS (and a new cheap and more tacky new version of a gameshow! - not that I'm knocking having a new gameshow series on ITV its about time but its shown at the wrong time!)

I think the graphics are too... awful, but the one bit I like is the big drums for the Come On Down. That bit looks well.. the rest.... pants.

They seemed to bring in new games, but they seem to be lacking in creativitity. Which one is the highest price. Erm. Where's good ideas like Plinko and Cliffhanger. Yes I know they're back but some new thought out ones woudln't go wrong.

Nerdy fact... The music used on the Brucie version of The Price Is Right was a reworking of the original theme from the American show.

I think they should move citv to 3.45-5.15 or 4.00-5.30.It's not competing with cbbc at the moment and they must have finished the 12000th repeat run of Grizzly Tales now!
