1) The Price Is Right does not work in a half hour format, regardless of who is presenting.
It worked quite succesfully for a few years with Brucie.
Bruce did his best, but it was never the same as the Leslie Crowther era. Here it was on at the best available time - Saturday night - providing an engrossing hour of family fun.
The 60-minute version had a captivating build-up throughout the show, and the endgame didn't disappoint. Going down to half and hour limited what could be done.
I very much doubt that ITV would allow Ant & Dec to appear on Challenge TV.
Here's a small snippet from the Broadcast website.

The home of Coronation Street and University Challenge, 3SixtyMedia's Manchester Studios, is expected to be back
The home of Coronation Street and University Challenge, 3SixtyMedia's Manchester Studios, is expected to be back to running at full capacity within a month after two of its studios closed at the end of January after an asbestos scare. Traces of asbestos in the building were detected in the upper levels of two of the 10 Manchester studios, studio 8 and studio 12.
Entertainment programmes were predominantly affected, among them Ant and Dec vehicle Bullseye, which had to be relocated to the Leeds Studios
and the BBC's A Question of Sport, which moved to the London Studios.
Surprising, considering how much of a hissy fit ITV get into about Ant & Dec appearing in productions for other channels. I guess this time around the difference is it is being made by 'ITV Productions' albeit for Challenge TV.
I think 5-6 would be a better slot as well, but they obviously see that quiz shows in the 4/4.30pm slots on Channel 4 are popular so want to try it. Perhaps they will moved CITV forward and show it 3pm-4.30pm.

Still weird though.
Yes do you remember when they did Comic Relief and now they don't appear to have anything to do with it whatsoever. It must be that the new contract they signed with ITV was for total exclusivity. I have to say that I'm a bit confused that they're associated with Bullseye when I read the same news that you did about the show being on Challenge.

But surely they're missing the point here?
The C4 gameshows are popular at 4-5pm largely because they are the only decent
alternative
to the kids' stuff on the other sides.
If ITV muscles in, all that's going to happen is the audience will be diluted. And given that it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that The Price Is Right with Joe Pasquale is going to be the weaker of the two shows against DOND, I can't see any decent audience for ITV here.
Another short-sighted move by ITV's scheduling department it seems.

Isn't it supposed to be being repeated on ITV1 as well.
Considering all the rumours with these game show revivals, I can't see Ant and Dec doing a show that would air only on Challenge. Counting their audience in thousands rather than the millions they are used to
First, lets see how this new series of The Price Is Right beds in; secondly, so CITV gets cuts down by 1/2 hour?! Big deal, CITV is launching a new digital channel shortly so what's the problem????
