I just checked my recent ITV2 recording - the saw goes right up to the neck of the photo of Diana, then it cuts back to Bean. Hardly seems worth it, if it's cut, since what happens next is obvious. Could've just removed her entirely. A later shot shows the "decapitated" head of the photo by itself anyway.

The more of a scene you take out, the more upheaval it causes to the rest of the show timing wise.

I remember the day after the Bataclan attack the episode of pointless was an ordinary edition from 2010 which I imagine was fully screened so no offensive questions were contained.
The Only Fools repeat of Time on Our Hands on Gold on Christmas Day has an abrupt jump just before the Gravey/Coffee mix up which feels like something was edited.

In 2014 an epsiode of Celebrity Mastermind was pulled just days after Joe Cocker died as he was one of the contestants' specialist subjects.

Well this thread has gone gloriously off-topic.
On Radio 2 on Christmas Day, I noticed they played Mel Smith & Kim Wilde's version of Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree with the Two Little Boys line left intact, despite MTV cutting it from the music video.

Quite right too - there is being sensitive and being oversensitive and I just hate the idea of removing all references due to the actions of certain individuals.

Just as an aside quite by accident ended up on the Today Youtube account (they've named their new co-host today) and refreshing to see they've left up all archive videos of Matt Lauer rather than pretending his time on the programme didn't happen.

The Two Little Boys line has been cut on the music channels too, though that's more forgivable considering Mel Smith gives a thumbs up to a picture of Rolf Harris.

I don't remember the "Penis Breath" quote from ET being shown on the terrestrial channels. However France 2 showed the film today with the English soundtrack on the secondary audio channel uncut this afternoon.

Slightly related to that, I was watching a English football match coming from a Dutch-language broadcaster recently and the sound from one of the mics was quite noticeably dipped after one set of supporters started singing "your support is f***ing s***".

Cue the commentator then telling his audience, in English, what was being sung...

Yes, in the infamous US GP of 2005, Paul Stoddart was delighted to find out that he could air his views in their entirety whilst speaking to the Dutch broadcaster:

paul_hadley, London Lite and Night Thoughts gave kudos

Did it? I watched it and I didn't notice anything untoward.... I mean I'd had a skinful but I've watched that episode a few times and, having just looked at the bit leading up to the gravy/coffee mixup there's nothing untoward that should have been cut out. Del serves the food to Raquel's mother touching it all with his fingers, says he's going out to get another bottle of wine, with customary fake French, and then Raquel's father reveals he was in the navy. Cassandra says "you and Albert will have to have a chat", to which Rodney interjects "after...we've gone" Cut to the kitchen where Del is opening another wine and discovers Albert has made the "coffee"......

It must have been shown once, because it's intact on the VHS copy our family has from the early 90s which was a BBC broadcast. It does however mute the profanity in Michael's "What's all this sh*t?" line when he discovers ET talking for the first time in the getup Gertie has dressed him in.

Anyone remember the day Michael Jackson died and Channel 4 hastily put up a "temporary fault" apology caption over part of a satrical show that had a sketch about him.

Here's the video:

The Chase just now featured a question on Mario Testino - with the current stories about him I am surprised the episode was not pulled.
