How long has News 24's red top been translucent, or have you captured during a fade up?

I think it was a fade out actually. They were probably removing it to show the action they were covering.

Meanwhile on the ITV News Channel, they had drafted in Nicholas Owen to front the coverage.

He will have been called in specially today as Katie Derham is doing the Lunchtime News

Not sure what FNC has done up to this point (I just got in - it's only 8:15A here). "Fox & Friends" (FNC's morning show) is talking to a London newspaper reporter about the "royal intruder" that's in all the papers over there.

The President is due to speak at the bottom of the hour -- Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, CNNfn, Bloomberg, C-SPAN 1 and NWI/CBC are all expected to carry it live. I'm not sure if the broadcast networks (ABC/CBS/NBC) will carry it live, as it would cut into their morning programs (Good Morning America, The Early Show, and Today, respectively). Many times, the broadcast networks may carry it during their programs, while at other times, they may run with it live.

I think Bush is getting all this attention in the UK because Iraq is proving to be far more traumatic for Britain and it is for the Vietnam-seasoned United States.

I think it's kind of laughable, though, that BBC and Sky are sharing a source.

Apparantly there is a BBC News Special on BBC World at 8.30. I presume this is also on News 24 or BBC Four.

Why doesnt anyone start a "GO BUSH!" rally that could clash with the "STOP BUSH!" rally.

Then we'd have a nice riot on our hands, and we'd see whether or not the Stop the War Coalition was really as pacifist as it claims to be.

Rather funnily on Granada News, they were showing people protesting outside their local 'E$$o' station, trying to give out leaflets but drivers just ignored them.
