Banksey.....well I'm a BA Purser & work many domestic flights, but even in drag I dont think I would resemble any of the GMTV females (would prob look better!! Laughing )
Maybe I've missed someone, but think I'd have noticed a 6'2" rugby player in a frock on the box Very Happy Very Happy

If you're ever on the Aberdeen Gatwick/Heathrow service when I'm a passenger although we've never met I'll know it's you. I predict hot coffee in the lap.

Eamonn and Fiona are stale, over- paid and boring. Here's my ideal line- up:

Newshour- John Stapleton and Penny Smith

GMTV Today- Scott Chisholm (ex Sky News, Channel 5) and sexy Kate Garraway

9:00- new segment, new presenter, no thoughts yet.

Hmm Fiona should undoubtedly be gone, I would ideally like to see...

Newshour: Penny and John (Carla and Andrew)
GMTV Today: Kate and Eamonn (Carla and Andrew/Ben)

And I think that the news bulletins should be done by ITN and more specifically Owen Thomas!

[quote="Phil"]It simply has to be an old man - young woman combo,

Why?
It would be more interesting for it to be the other way round ...( ie Richard and Judy !)

It would be fun for the bloke to be the simpering bimbo for a change ... Laughing

See now I used to hate watching GMTV. Fiona used to irritate me. But recently her and fiona have appealed to me more than any others. Because they have worked together for ages they take the mick out of each other. She is very determined and a very good interviewer, and gets all the information out. She has mad moments that crack everyone up, and has something with Eamonn that no one has met. Anthea, Ester, Kate & Penny, they all kept adding the jokes, especially Penny recently, but Eamonn has a connection with Fiona that's nice first thing in the morning.

Does GMTV do its own news gathering?

On the presenter issue, the sooner they get rid of Fiona the better. She's irritated me for years, since she used to laugh and then do this little "aah" noise at the end. Very petty, but there you go!

I might be wrong, but I think Reuters provides GMTV with its news.

I see that the behind the scenes problems at GMTV were featured in a national newspaper today (I think the People still classifys as a newspaper).

Seems that Fiona and Kate aren't talking and now have separate dressing rooms. The article states that Fiona was furious after the results of an internal survey were leaked revealing that Kate is more popular with viewers.

Dear oh dear, that sounds like something that used to go on in the Lounge.

Apparently Fiona pushed Sara Edwards [Wales Today] into a river after an altercation. Or have I remembered that wrong?

Anyway perhaps it's because Kate is more erm, genuine? Everyone likes Kate, she's very vulnerable, and British people like vulnerable. Like when she was late for work and didn't have time to do her hair and it was all big and she was devastated -- she got hundreds of texts saying she looked lovely. Ahh.

I don't honestly think Fiona is going anywhere any time soon though. And I've never liked her hair either.

Though I am not a fan of her myself, I don't think she will go either, mainly because her husband Martin (TV-am) Frizzell, is one of the directors at GMTV.

Actually, recently, ITN won the contract for GMTV News, meaning that it supplies news for all the terrestrial commercial broadcasters! Talk about monopoly
