Presenter Changes at GMTV Rumoured

They're supposedly auditioning new female presenters to share the sofa with Eamonn, as recent focus groups show that Fiona Phillips is rapidly losing popularity with viewers, and they are apparently planning to cut her days presenting and have her doing special reports and features.

Hot favourite apparently is Sarah Heaney who presents Scotland Today for SMG.

Wonder if thats got anything to do with the possible change of shareholders thats being rumoured, SMG wanting to become the majority shareholder.

And in answer to the next question, know someone who was asked to audition.

Thank goodness - i can't stand Fiona Phillips. Bring back Anne Davies she was alright.

Ann Davies in my opinion had no personality, and came across as false most of the time.

Is the recruitment policy for females at GMTV still the same? Must look like a Purser on any British Airways domestic service.

Trust me, for one day you could do a job swap and no one would notice.

No your joking aren't you ?.Fiona is very patronising and insincere especially when she has to interview just normal members of the public down on their luck who end up on the sofa for whatever reason .
She is also full of self importance and lets face it she's only remained there because her husband is in charge of the programme editor or producer or whatever title they call it at GMTV these days .

I think she should be replaced and i think Sarah Heaney would be an excellent choice she is excellent has wit and style, most important she is down to earth ,she connects with the viewers .

It will be interesting to see exactly how it all works out it'll be handbags at dawn i think, Fiona had a hand in getting rid of the stunning weather girl Shereen Tulloch a few years ago when she came back after a break the claws were out for the pretty trim blond ,remember Lara Logan they didn't like her either she was pretty and added a touch of class to the show .Lara even said after she left in an interview that the back biting that went on was unbelievable they all felt threatend as they thought she wanted the sofa of course she wasn't interested in that job .

No i for one would not miss Fiona i think they should also get rid of Penny too i'm fed up of her stupid comments at the end of the news .

It shouldn't be too hard to find a co-presenter for Eamonn should it? Let me think, bimbo tendencies? Blonde? White?

Don't forget must agree and suck up to Eamonn .

Fiona is far too mumsy - that generation of programming in my books was left in the tvam era. The only problem I had with Anne Davies is she was like one of your Avon ladies. You would expect her either at your door selling girls stuff or she would be running a beauty salon doing someones nails! I liked her for her plain presenting which is all you need really.

She spands more time hunched up looking at the coffee table than looking 'down the barrell' of the camera.
Please please please get rid of her. What about trying out that Glen Thompsett fellow on the sofa, now he would be good!

Hmm......does anyone expect Hollyoaks to be losing a character in the next few months then?
