Having idents with stars in them is a dangerous idea because if they leave or the show goes to another channel you're screwed.

Hopefully they'll make some new ones.

Where is this ident on the website?

It looks like the idents were removed when the C4 Sales site received a new look. By the power of the Internet Archive, I can tell you that Old Man was located here.

Not that that helps much now! If you're wondering what it looked like, it featured an old man (nah!) walking down a wooden platform outside his house, unaware that a 4 made up of beer crates (IIRC) was creeping up behind him. As soon as he turned round to investigate, the 4 quickly disappeared through a door to hide before creeping up on him again. It was very different from the rest of the idents which may be the reason why it was never launched on TV.

A shame they just dumped that, especially when it could easily be edited to remove the shot of Des Lynam on the TV in the first couple of seconds.
