It would be interesting if ITV are gonna do what they said on the programme that they would inform viewers of the call volumes, I think it would put people off knowing there are 200,000 people calling and 0 on air!!
It was misleading how the programme / ITV implied they were choosing to do this out of concerns for fair play and transparency.
Fact is, all the quizzers have to do so from the first week of May as part of new ICSTIS instructions.
I'm kind of hoping they can't find a loophole here and we can watch and giggle as revenues fall and the rubbish goes off the air.
Suppose its ironic that Fake Your Play's Alex is working for The Bulls**t Detective on BBC3!
Yes I found that vaguely amusing.
She recently switched call programmes didn't she? Oh the heady heights of working your way from one piece of drivel to another.

Cash Call it seems has left EMAP's The Hits channel again for while. There is something definately dodgy going on there and it digusts me to be honest.
Presenter Zoe French worked there for a while and from what she implied on her recentish Mail video interview, that Hungary budget operation do indeed sound as dodgy as ... well ... you might expect.
(assuming it is still made there, I have no idea)
oh as for Craig Stevens / Stephens who also made an exciting career move to **** ...
when will someone finally get the smug self absorbed fool off our screens ????
Two BBC programmes, Blue Peter and Saturday Kitchen, were featured briefly.
There was no mention at all of Brainteaser, presented on five by the brainLESS Alex Lovell, who just happens to also work for the BBC as a face in front of the camera on Points West.
I would call her a presenter, but I wouldn't want to have to accuse myself of exaggeration as well.

I doubt the bods at Panorama have even heard of Points West, let alone Alex Lovell!
A member of my family has been the director for a while at Brainteaser (having been fortunate enough to be trained in to how to handle live TV). Since they're freelance, they're obviously now having to work for other programmes. They explained to us what's happened to the programme, and I see why it wasn't mentioned on Panorama. Effectively, I think it was similar to the Blue Peter issue. Basically, as far as I'm aware, occasionally the telephone lines would break, or there'd be some fault in the gallery (so the telephone couldn't go through to the studio floor). A member of the production team would then put their voice over to the floor, voicing the contestant, but the contestant was on a mobile to the crew member. So, a contestant was still picked, and they still won their money fair and square. All that was happening was a crew member was voicing the call from the public. I suspect that this is what weakens the credibility of the argument that they were somehow fraudulent. They did get phoned for the Panorama programme - indeed was invited to be on it, but declined.
It seems unfortunate then that Brainteaser (from my perspective, albeit a one-sided one) has been caught in the crossfire. I guess it's a format that has lost all credibility, and programmes like Brainteaser have suffered. And, all of the above is rather sketchy details of what they've said to us, so I know by now for you it feels like hear say. But, I did want to clear up for you here that the Panorama investigation was looking/investigating the Brainteaser story, but obviously couldn't see anything desperately interesting to be had from it.
NB to prove the story, the source was director of another famous row over TV. That was a certain Changing Rooms episode.
