Bit shocked that it's so soon but I think it was a likely that an investigation would have to take place. Looking forward to seeing great things from the Debbie King Show tonight Smile and when the next one will be, have to wait and see.

Do you even know what today's announcement is actually about?

YES

ITV has got an accounted in to review all the ""premium rate interactive services in ITV programmes""

some would say STV "watch to win" is part of this but its not a ITV programme
is a compertation
its a loop hole!

They say it's being done on a programme by programme basis so I imagine Dancing on Ice will be one of the first they look into - and as there is no question of selecting winners for the main voting lines they shouldn't find any problems - so by Saturday I'd expect it to be clear to go.

The other main shows revenue wise I'd expect they want to clear ASAP would be This Morning and whatever is on ITV Play overnight.

And I don't think ITV have any competitions now where a player is selected to play a game live in the studio in the similar way to You Say ,We Pay. All This Morning comps are just a name on the screen, while I think most other shows generally have something like "Lines close midnight, winner announced tomorrow".

As unethical as they might be, I don't see any of the traditional ITV Play formats being too much of a problem - but Play DJ/Playalong should raise some questions when you have to spend £50 for a one in a billion chance of winning a tenner.

STV is NOT ITV

Thanks for that. I was just saying they should put an end to those types of phone-ins while they are at it. (ie. adding a point of discussion to a topic in an online discussion forum).

I didn't realise I subliminally wrote "STV is ITV" in my post somewhere, in some sort of style that only you could read and decipher. Oh, and by the way, even your edited posts don't make sense.

Is it just ITV doing this audit or will BBC, C4 and Five also be reviewing matters.

I'm sure Ant can speak for himself, but the posts I see don't show him claiming "STV is ITV" or saying that "STV need to follow this ruling".

I'm really sorry to interrupt the natural flow of this topic, but 623058 has to stop making irrelevant points and disrupting the forum with daft remarks. That *is* breaking the rules - the forum rules.

I'm sure they're all reviewing matters - but at the moment only ITV are turning it into a PR stunt.
