Yes but it was claimed by one of the reports that ITV2+1 would replace it on Sky. Probably mistakenly, but that's what it said.

Isn't there a time-split ITV2+1/ITV3+1 on SkyDigital right now? Which could be switched to a standalone ITV2+1 and ITV3+1 pair.

No that was originally reported at launch but was inaccurate. Both itv2 +1 and itv 3+1 are 24 hour channels.

Does ITV2+1 show GMTV2(+1) as well?


P.S. I assume they're keeping the "ITV Play" brand for overnight programming.

Considering the reports that the ITV Play channel was running at a loss I wonder if the loss was greater than the news channel that it replaced?
Not to mention the damage to the reputation by replacing a news channel with a gambling channel Rolling Eyes
What a fiasco this channel has been; thank god it (and Charles Allen) are gone.

Technically, but had ITV Play not already been in development I believe that M&M would have been pulled, as originally planned, and subsequently was.

Replacing the news channel with CITV & ITV4 was just better PR than replacing it later with ITV Play.

Newer posts
