Not on air tonight either. Cash Call certainly seemed to be the most dodgy of the lot. A complete joke. Awful graphics, cheap camerawork, rubbish hosts who are nothing but wasted talentless weirdos. I heard it broadcast from outside the UK - nothing short of streaming the equivilent of a cold call centre into your house then.
As one of the comments on You Tube says, the answer is obviously more than just "1' or "3". These people phoning up probably haven't even watched for more than 5 minutes. I just can't feel sorry for them.
When I used to phone up quiz channels, I watched for at least 15 minutes before calling. You need to check how the game works, check they are taking regular calls and check you either have the correct answer or a good chance of having the correct answer. These people haven't done their homework.
Rather crass announcement into Nightscreen a few minutes ago, reminding viewers that not only is Dancing On Ice back but viewers can vote as well!
Nothing wrong with saying DOI is going ahead, of course not, but the reminder tag about voting just shows how naively (at best) the channel is handling what's turned out to be a very serious situation. They just want our money and what's happening has made no difference to their ultimate goal of seeking it.
Worth a read. Hopefully he can back this up for us.
Now, I wouldn't say people were thick and stupid, it is freedom for choice and all that. People obviously need to know how the game is operating (as ironically mentioned in a previous post) but I've noticed on many occasions the 'presenters' deliberately target the drunk and vulnerable. i.e words like "Now you've probably just been down the pub and are a little tipsy after a night out... give us a call? What have you got to lose?" Lets just say it could be considered people are in a "thick state" at that time.
Hardly insightful. His opinion is likely to bias. Good of him to address the problem at least.
It may well be the choice of viewers to participate. But for me, knowing what I know and knowing there's probably still a lot of stuff I don't know about quiz tv, that's enough for me not to participate. People take a risk everytime they call, even if it is for 75p. Then there's the fact that these games are purely designed to make the producers money. That's surely totally obvious to everyone and I can't understand if people don't get that. Then there's the fact you're playing to self-governed house rules. Forth and final point, is the games themselves, particularly the list games. In these "games", you basically have to guess what the producers have thought of. I aliken these games to walking up to someone and asking them, "guess what I'm thinking." The chance of you guessing correctly is pretty slim.
It's an opinion, but I don't blame anyone for thinking you've got to be stupid to call. Just one of the points above is enough for me not to.
wish you guys would stop taking the pi:ss out of the lad by quoting his errors in your signatures we know he's dislexic
anyway, big brother will have to buck up with their voting system as they've scammed people by voting housemates out then back in again.
People obviously want the prestige of having 623058 quote their names in his signature. I'm sorry but nothing will beat 'Maybe it you clooks' and only that deserves to be a 623058 quote signature IMO.
Anyay back on topic, ITV Play is taking a long time to return to air (thank God). Are ITV having second thoughts about the value of the channel and the damage it is doing to the brand?

And he openly advertises them in his sig:
Quote:
...why not Get yours today?...
None of it is meant in a nasty way, and IMO he's a credit to the forum. And please mind your language, especially as none of us are taking the p*ss in any way.
Now back to discussing more immediate problems, like ITV Play and
Brainteaser
.

If it does go, that would make airspace for something useful - like another news channel, or perhaps an education channel - could the BBC Learning Zone go full time?
