.... I think you misunderstood, I'm considering the extended contracts for engineering and personnel, that'd be necessary etc. I'm by no means doubting that it'll happen just that it would seem 'a bit of a palaver' to restart/extend them for a match that'll probably be moved to April.

I don’t think there’s much seasonal personnel involved in the Amazon coverage either on the broadcast or transmission side - and if so they’d probably be freelancers anyway. I imagine Amazon are also expecting to pick up more games as no/reduced crowds continue beyond January?

Most of the rest of the personnel are either employed by the above, or engaged per job - eg the various OB facility providers, streaming MCRs, etc. I think Amazon do have some executive producers, but they're on payroll and oversee all their sports, so it's not a huge issue for them to cast their eye over matches away from their primary rights package, as they did over the summer.

There's also the fact that the rights they've bought will have certain host broadcaster obligations, such as producing the world feed. If they're going to have to produce the match coverage, then the cost of putting some presentation around it is fairly marginal.

On my Sky Q box I get 10 secs of video then the entire box goes black Crying or Very sad Resetting the apps had no effect at all, I got the really old sky q box with no HDR Sad

Works on the iPhone though but it’s not HDR just HD.

That's what didn't make sense alongside the 1080p.

Doesn't it basically pause for the best part of a fortnight for the FA Cup anyway?

Well, the games are being produced in 1080p and Standard Dynamic Range rather than 1080p HDR or 2160p HDR (like some of the others).
