Thanks - they are definitely not award winning! It’s like they took bits and bobs from other PL broadcasters and then went out of their way to make them worse. Although obviously the BT inspiration is most apparent, there are some other touches, like a very Sky (or at least, how Sky used to look before they went all virtual) set, and a scorebar that takes a bit of a hint from the world feed.
I don’t think you need to work in an MCR to understand that you don’t spend time at work watching football. Just like broadcast crews working overseas aren’t on ‘holiday’.
I've attended quite a few PL football matches in my time. I honestly couldn't even recall what the final score was, or even who the opposing team were driving home.
Think I might be the only person in the football telly world not working with Amazon Prime. I can only presume my invitation was left with my next door neighbours.
I feel for the people on Twitter who say Sky and BT are screwed because Amazon provide PL games for £8 a month. I doubt it'd still cost that much if Amazon had more than three days worth of rights.
It appears that tonight, the start at 1830 will be shared across all feeds, 'Every Game Every Goal' being indicated as the start material on all seven active streams.
Lead Presenters at each match.
MUN - TOT Jim Rosenthal
CHE - AST Darrell Currie
LEI - WAT Seema Jaswal
SOU - NOR Marcus Buckland
WOL - WHU Matt Smith
LIV - EVE Gabby Logan
