Yes, it's produced by IMG, but it's not like it's yer average rightsholder - they're going to toe an editorial line that's not going to upset their paymaster.
I'll grant you that the look and feel of the programme is very professional, but that's not at the forefront of most viewers minds.

I believe Thursday Night NFL coverage does. But if so that is a simulcast of Fox/NFLN anyway.

Now how do I not sound sexist with this comment. Really pleasantly surprised to see two female lead presenters in Gabby Logan and Eilidh Barbour tonight. Both professionals which hopefully are helping to put the vestiges of discrimination in Sports presentation into history.

The control room I’ve sat in most most recently has very few EPL feeds passing through it. Those that do are in 1080i25.


If I am in a control room I’m working, not watching football, whatever the resolution, dynamic range and colour space of the feed. I’m not sure what you think working in an MCR is like?

I’ve only ever seen UHD HDR at home.

2 out of the 3 UK broadcasters of Premier League games stream all their games at 50p, one of those does one game per day in UHD SDR and one now does all (when they’ve one game per day) of theirs in UHD HDR.


How am I suppose to know if I can’t get a job in one!

I don’t think you need to work in an MCR to understand that you don’t spend time at work watching football. Just like broadcast crews working overseas aren’t on ‘holiday’.

There was the very occaaional ad in the US Open coverage, all for other Amazon Prime Video content and mostly for the football.

Yes I know you are working and not watching the football. But yeah I just want to watch the feeds proper clean 4K HLG hdr 50mbps feeds.
