I do wonder how the market might work with the competition not being about what matches they sell but how each broadcaster sells PLTV. It would be quite different if Sky, BT and Virgin all had the same content but were basically competing on price and deals to flog the flagship content. Virgin kind of do already I suppose by selling Sky/BT bundled together, and the developing BT/Sky deal might also see a bit more competition on that front (though as BT will sell Sky Sports through Now TV, they won't really control the price I'd have thought).
Amazon's aim here actually might be to make people realise they actually already have Prime Video - probably a significant proportion of Amazon Prime customers who don't realise it's actually largely free.
