Anyone know the reason for the swap-around on ITV1 tonight?

Advertised schedules have changed... Precious Babies is currently showing with Alright on the night now to be on at 9pm..

Ratings.

Precious Babies was a flop, so better to have it on earlier, and Alright on the Night will probably do better at 9pm.

Err, me thinks the Watershed is probably the real reason

Well if it was the watershed, then why schedule it for 8pm in the first place? Rolling Eyes

I have just written a very strongly worded email to ITV regarding this, as it was vital that I did not miss the progoramme.

It is unreasonable to just swap a progoramme without giving notice in time for the TV Guides to publish it. It is still advertised as Dennis Norden at 8 on my freeview box!!!!

Rant over.

Annoying as this is, it's better a programme runs an hour later because you won't have missed it.

That's why I don't watch that much British TV in general.

The show can't have been moved because of the watershed as the first time it TX'd, it went out at 8pm.

The only reason for the change I can think of is that BBC1 were running the Iceman Drama/documentary at 9pm, and ITV1 didn't want to run another documentary at the same time.

It def wasn't because 'Alright on The Night' was watershed
un-compliant. All words of swareage in the show were bleeped out.

Despite the switch, ITV still got one of it's worst peak-time ratings last night with less than 20% audience share.

Also, why do ITV still insist on splitting Tuesday night programmes such as First Love, Second Chance and "All New" Naughtiest Blunders 245 with the News at Ten Thirty?

Is it really worth it?
