I've never understood paying another £15 for a PPV match, inside a package that you're already paying a massive sum of money for.

Especially since we're in lockdown again and people have been made redundant or furloughed, it's not fair on those who want to watch those matches, especially on a regular basis.

I'm glad Sky have abandoned this process for now.

Once again it needs saying that Sky and BT had nothing to do with the PPV decision, these matches are over and above their contracted matches.

1. They were offered initially at the end of last season by the Premier League as extras for which the broadcasters could broadcast for 'free' including the BBC.
2. A similar arrangement appled at the beginning of this, excluding the BBC after one game this time.
3. The CLUBS and LEAGUE then decided to do something different, stating a price - £14.95 that they would be prepared for BT and Sky to charge fans for these matches, they agreed for a small fee. This outraged fans, whether this outrage was justified is questionable I'll agree.
4. Following the campaign against this the Premier League decided 10 days ago to abandon this practice and revert to the system in place at the end of last season which includes the BBC until the end of January 2021.

What happens for February's fixtures is still to be decided.

The only difference this time is that Sky are not showing any of the games FTA on Pick this time it seems.... they might show the extra games on Sky One TBH...

The start of the season did include the BBC (only one match though).

Notable because it was actually viewable on iPlayer afterwards unlike the 4 at the end of the last season.

Interesting that Sky in their trailers for next weekend tonight have (for the first time?) not differentiated between their contracted and extra matches. Equal treatment was given to their six matches.

BT seemingly tardy with their EPG changes also now featuring their three matches for next weekend all on Sat, Lunchtime, Afternoon and Late Evening slots. It must be the first time they've ever had three Premier League matches on the channel on the same day, unless something happened post LD1, I'm not inclined to research that.

Currently there's no home for BT Sport Score, which despite a contrary opinion here, I find infinitely better than the Sky alternative either in its present or past incarnations.

January 1st this year. Four matches back to back on BT Sport 1, three on Sport 2 and two on ESPN.
Admittedly it feels like decades ago now.

should have course excluded the all matches on the same matchday packs in my argument, good point though, nevertheless.

The did that pre-PPV and last season as well, it was only the Box Office games that were kept a bit hush-hush (presumably due to the public opinion that Sky & BT were the cause & benefactors of PPV).

December fixture allocations likely to all be released within the next 48hours. The Premier League's official fixture list has been 'dynamic' today, with some KO tiimes already shifted, but no broadcasters being allocated.

It looks as if Amazon's first set of matches on the week of the 15th December will stretch over three nights.

9 days later

December fixtures due later today, including two additional matches each for Amazon and the BBC.

Unsubstantiated heresay that the BBC are to get a reasonably high profile match on 26 Dec.

We’ll know later.
