Well I'm talking the net servers, which aren't at the same place as the BBC offices - they were apparently evacuated

Just trying to think.. what's the largest power cut in the UK we've had in recent years? Was it the West London one which also affected the BBC a couple of summers ago, or something else? (not back as far as the 1987 hurricane surely?)

Mishal's also speaking to Justin Webb in Washington, and he said they haven't been affected yet. This could cause quite a problem, as people are apparently trapped in elevators, in subway trains etc. Apparently, the NYC mayor denied that it is connected to terrorism.

YIKES!

Sky News just showed a map of the affeced area, most of the North Eastern USA & parts of Canada are without power
