I do like the way they've implemented a character for the 4 blocks and I'd say this could go well for Channel 4 viewers. I'd agree the music is a bit repetitive, but after all, these are "tests", they'll be changed here and then
But what I find weird is that if Channel 4 shows something like a horror programme or thriller, how will the ident package fit with those types of programmes? I mean sure, go with the 2015 idents with that weird bird man, but it's inconsistency with the brand.
I'm sure if they were to progress then certainly we have not seen the finished product. However I really like this, two things I especially like is firstly the nod to Fourscore, the second is that two of the idents are filmed in Merseyside, the paralympians appears to be New Brighton promenade and the football in the street is in Liverpool. One would hope they have UK wide scenery
Whether this is reflective of the change of heads at Channel 4 who knows but it's quite clear they're not overly pleased with the execution of the current set, considering we now see more of the 4 logo.

Well they're already showing grossly inappropriate idents for many of their programmes (see Bake Off) so I can't see that being a problem.
What is this Channel 4 man going to be called?? Does he have a name?? Or, is he, a she?? Or gender neutral?? Is he called Bob??

I like the look of them, and certainly a marked improvement on the first set as it actually has the logo itself front and centre, albeit in a more abstract format because, of course, this is Channel 4 we're talking about.
Reminds me a lot of the "modern art" statue in The World's End...

Don't you want Blocky's children to be able to choose their gender themselves without society forcing them to conform to be something they don't want to do? I really want a full-length version of that music. I could listen to it all day. Yes, it should probably be varied as the idents progress, but it's a good start.
I like them, don't really think much of the current set and this has a nice nod to Fourscore.

The idents are OK but they don't really make much sense.
It's like going to a movie but the only thing good about the movie is the cgi and not the actual story. The only one I like is the wheelchair one in this case.
The great thing about the original 4 idents was the coming together of the different parts to make a 4. The music arrangement was slightly different for each one. It was stripped back and simple and it lasted the longest on the channel.
I don't understand why they don't just keep it simple and the channel 4 logo is so distinctive they should be showing it off rather than messing it up or making it a random robot man.
These idents are going to get boring very quickly. They need to strip it back and mix up the fourscore theme so that it isn't the same each time you hear it. Be different.
