On DTT, a bar pops up at the bottom saying 'press red'. All we seem to have is pop up facts to the design of the on screen graphics. The facts are in a see through white box. At the bottom of the screen in a black box is the BBCi logo in the left hand corner and 'Press EXIT to quit' in the right.
Well done Beeb. Not ground breaking stuff but interesting facts nonetheless and good to see the efoort going in.
Afternoon all! Hope you got what you wanted. Me - money, clothes - the usual!
Right, this TOTP (DSat) thing seems half decent but what on earth is the point of Karaoke!? Just do what people have been doing for years and stick p888 up!!! All it is, is a trumped up version of that. I at least hoped for proper music-only videos with no singer!
For next year, can they include the equivalent of 'Player Cam'? I'll have it focused on Myleene from Hear'Say thanks
I think there's probably an argument that says if you don't actually label something Karaoke, the latest generation of even lazier/more stupid audiences (present company excepted, of course) will not think to press 888 and use the subtitles to sing along to. The other problem is once you've gone into the interactive service you can't call subtitles up..

On other subjects on Christmas Day TV...
Queen's speech - well frankly, you could tell it was an ITN production from the start.. what I thought was a very poor intro, national anthem at the start, then a crane shot, which would have worked well had it not have been past a green mouldy statue. And then... stick the Queen in the least interesting corner of the room behind some net curtains!!
Why can't they just put her outside on the balcony, or sit her in the centre of the room like they did later on - or (shock horror) film the whole thing outside, in a park, or somewhere with interesting surroundings.

Rolf's Merry Christmas (3.10pm, BBC1) - anyone note the font used at the start is exactly that which was used for Noel's Christmas Presents/House Party?

Well, Dig Cab has pulled out all the stops this year! We have one HTML page with links to 'Who are on the show', something else and 'contact us'.

Boo! And Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm just logging on to see if anyone said anyhting about TOTPi, and i thought it was a fantastic and reliable service! Karaoke - was a wee bit slow, but Star*Bar was great, and all the rest!!
Well done BBC!

Good idea, but we had my nephew down, so I did the switch between studio & video.
Anyybody use TOTPi on DSat. I tried hundereds of times and all I got was a message saying 'There is a techincal fault. Please try later'. In fact It was what i expected from BBCi. It's not that relable.
BBC News Interactive only works after 9pm.
Walking with Beasts. Haa. All you have too do is press the red button. Wrong. To use the interactive feature you have to press text then select. Oh and you can watch it anytime of the week. wrong. it never worked when I tryed it.

I think you have a problem with your set top box... sounds like you need to reset it. The BBCi services have all been very reliable. Try unplugging your STB and leaving it off for 30 secs. Then re-power it, leave it off for another minute... then switch on and off you go again. Should reset your system.
