From what I've heard it's now moving in June or July, but it was supposed to move to coincide with the new incorporation of the download chart in the top 40.
Where we will allegedly hear the news of its move first...

Perhaps with Lorraine being replaced TOTP was forgotten about...
btw, Last night's show wasn't bad musically; good to have more chart stuff than "exclusives", especially the video by the Killers, and nice little fault showing the start of Akon's "Lonely" performance instead of the charts with that woman with the awful voice.

I noted that TOTP Saturday is coming to end of its series next saturday (21/5/05) to return in September. I wonder if there is any significance in that, as it has run during the summer for the last few years. No sign of what will replace Dance Factory / TOTP Sat though in the BBCPress Office downloads.

I reckon the fact TOTP does so badly now is because it is on the same time as Coronation Street and as Corrie has been doing very well over the last few months they've decided to scrap TOTP. Shame.
I think they should move TOTP to a 'soap free' timeslot (still on BBC1) and replace Dick and Dom's Ask the Family (I know its already gone but whatever's in that slot now) with TOTP2.

TOTP has been up against Corrie for somewhere in the region of 9 years now, though. It was a bad idea in the first place, one which effectively halved the audience at the time - a time when TOTP was going through a golden period.

totp used to be on thursdays at 7pm. It was moved "temporarily" for Watchdog and at the time the beeb kept saying it would return to it's normal slot shortly. It never did and has died a long slow death
