This Sunday it's Fearne and Reggie hosting, two of my mates were at last week's recording, one of the weeks when two weeks worth of episodes were filmed.

Would I be correct in thinking that the 'other week' , 'Later' is recorded, or is something else done that week?

Or maybe the TOTP team just want a break every so often?

Could never understand why it's demise has been strung out over so long. surely they knew it was dead in the water years ago (as did many) but lacked the bottle to axe it out right. A watered down version fronted by the awful Fern Cotton does no favours.

I'm not sure what happens on the Sunday evenings when TOTP is not recorded in TC3, but I know that one out of every four TOTP is pre-recorded the previous Sunday.

Saw a bit of tonight's TOTP hosted by that Hound chap and some woman.

Oh dear, they're now just cutting the acts from this years T Festival. Getting ready to pack their suitcases me thinks.

I totally forgot about it being on a Tuesday this week, but Houndyboy? I'm glad I missed it now!

Not one of the best IMO.(Saved by the Lily Allen video, what they showed of it!)

Is it me or was the live sound mix ****?

About the only thing we can be grateful for the existence of Love Island for... no Fearne on the last four TOTPs.

I still haven't heard anything through the grapevine (not much longer would you be mine...) about what, if anything, TOTP will do for its last edition.

Agreed with the comments about Rufus Hound, I find him unfunny and cringe-worthy.

It would be nice if there was a TOTP night on either BBC 2 or BBC 4, but I guess it would be a repeat of various docs already shown like 'The Story Of Top Of The Pops',, 'Digging The Dancing Queens', The Smashie & Nicey 30 years special, which was repeated a few years later, as it did have different style astons & slightly different clips, Britney Spears being included in the later repeat for example.

What I wouldn't mind being shown as regards archive editions, subject to clearences, the 10 year special(a brief colour clip of Saville was used recently on the axed news report of him standing in front of the 64 logo, the 20 year special(which featured the famous Rick Parfitt falling over the drum kit performance!), the 25 year special, & the end of the 80's special! (Do any of them involve Noel Edmonds & Mike Smith as they were the main stumbling blocks?)

What I'd suspect we'd get would be Wrighty & 'a very special edition of TOTP 2, celabrating 42 years of the world's greatest music show' & showing the same old bloody clips we know & love!

Any thoughts?

I agree too.

Incidentally, who is he? Until he appeared on TOTP, I'd never seen nor heard of him.

He started on some late night live show on BBC3 if I remember.
