Pop Idol 2 will begin in the Autumn I gather. There hasn't been many details about the new series released yet (well, I haven't seen anything!) and I wanted to see if anybody else knows anything about it.

The auditions have been taking place over the past month or so round the country and it has already been stated that Ant and Dec will be presenting the new series...and Simon Cowell is also on the judging panel for the new season - which is fantastic news (from what I have read)!!!

But who else will be judging this year??? That woman (can't remember her name now) isn't going to be on it again, but is Pete Waterman returning and Dr Fox or not??? Pete Waterman is still being shown quite a bit on the ITV1 idents so he must have something in the pipeline!

Please enlighten me! Very Happy

Anything else you want to say about the programme may be posted here... Sad

The only thing I like about Pop Idol, is the audition process as you can just wet yourself laughing by some of the low life who audition and those who are just rubbish. One other good thing is Ant and Dec, they make the show rather intresting, though I am not bothered with it being on a Saturday night, but if it is more than that it is overkill.

I am rather suprised that Cowell is doing a Pop Idol 2, as he recently signed a deal to do another three American Idol's and he recently presented some dating show on American TV. You can obviously tell he prefers the US to the UK. (If you have seen British Cribs on MTV, you should see his LA hangout, it is really nice, probably one of the reasons he is overthere so often.)

Not really a surprise... he's become one of the most famous people in America, and his US TV earnings absolutely dwarf what he can make over here.

Well he is quoted as saying he prefers doing the British version, so it's not a big surprise that he's doing Pop Idol 2.

Neil Fox is judging this time round, as he's took a lot of time off of Hit 40 UK recently - hence Ronan Keating, Alisha of Mis-Teeq and BRMB's Elliot Webb all presented recently.

There were some auditions the other week I believe. I knew someone going in but they didn't get through! ITV2 show all the auditions at some point, don't they?

I think this might suffer the same consequences as Popstars. Ant and Dec can probably save it from being a complete disaster, but the media are beginning to turn on these types of shows.

So he's another one thats deserted us for the bloody USA! First Robbie Williams and now him! Fair enough, America is generally a better place than the UK, but at least most of us over here are normal! I couldn't stand more than a week over there!
