anyway all soaps have bad continuity because the sets are like taridis' and grown rooms as required, how many bedrooms does the queen vic have at present

Same with the Slater house... about a year ago there were about a hundred people living in it. Or so it seemed. Laughing

just noticed in eastenders that all the upstairs windows face bridge street, grant looked out of the kitchen window and lounge window in tonight's episode and we saw bridge street both times

judging by the layout the kitchen should face albert square

Since Kate Harewood took over at EastEnders the continuity has been way better then before,Take the Bank Hoildays,World cup (only soap?) for example that must be something they thought Eastenders should improve on.

Continuity is better than it was, yes.

The World Cup references by Garry and Minty are a bit tiresome to me, but I admit it is right for the characters to be talking of nothing else.

At the moment, I have been put off by the implausible Grant and Jane story, and the incomprehensible Carla.

I'll be pleased to see the back of that story.

Im not bothered that Corrie are not mentioning the World Cup in episodes (as yet) as to be honest we already know events like this are taking place without it being mentioned in the soaps all the time. And as the episodes are filmed so far in advance (its likely episodes that will go out around the time of the final have already been filmed) any significant results for England wont be able to be mentioned in the show anway.

They might do what they did recently which was to show a brief shot of the two of them reading a newspaper headline about a lost game. I have *no idea* what team Garry and Minty are supposed to support, but I assumed they had shot two versions. An insert the week of TX isn't impossibly difficult.

But maybe a bit gimmicky.

coronation street filmed a scene on the day of the 98 cup final with people in the rovers watching the match between france and ?

back to continuity, is it me or is the eastenders set just one big cul-de-sac

An unusual lapse in continuity during last night's Casualty. In one scene, Maggie complains to Harry about him giving Selena time off without telling anyone. About 5 mins later, Maggie walks into Reception, asks where Selena is, and is surprised when told she's been given the day off by Harry.

Or maybe it's a seed for an upcoming storyline about Maggie developing Alzheimers....?

That sounds like a nasty case of "We've got all the right scenes, it's just that we've edited them together in the wrong order".

A bit like my singing, really!

Indeed, Charlie, Big Mo, Kat, Zoe, Little Mo, Freddie, Stacey. All in a two bedroom house (with a bedroom in the front room) I know they are supposed to share bedrooms but this does seem an implausably large number of people for such a small house.

Casualty has always kept its storyline pattern of...
- Somethings about to happen
- A man walks into a road and just misses being hit by a lorry
- Something does happen and Josh the paramedic appears.
- Family feel gulty about what has happened
- Big talky, guilty sobbing bit.
- Charlie does one of his infamous side looks to camera
- Show ends.

The set for the Rovers Return in Corrie is another example.

If you draw out the floor plan you realise that the living room (never mind the kitchen) should be in the middle of Rosamund Street!
