It was a 'Best Of' but with new Alistair Stewart links, carrying a 2007 copyright date. None of the clips were from later than 2002 which is when the last series was.
Hope a new series does follow, you've gotta love that theme tune!
Brilliant, I thought ITV gave up on this, especially with Alastair Stewart's second conviction for drink driving, so I guess the ITV4 repeats have paid off then.
Probably the only decent programme to be associated with Carlton London IMO.
Am I not right in saying there were re-edited episodes made around 2005/2006?
They were un-aired episodes from 2002, which weren't shown due to Alastair Stewart's drink driving conviction. ITV1 showed an episode in 2003 otherwise there was no ITV1 showing until January 2006.
There was a one off episode of Police Camera Action on ITV1 on Thursday. It looked like a brand new episode
Further to this, it looks like there is a brand new series being broadcast, starting on Monday at 10
According to Digiguide, Alastair will now be joined by Adrian Simpson
Oh goody, very topical what with police car chases having featured in the news recently for being too dangerous and taking needless risks.
Big market now for TV programmes to tap into archive police and security material what with the rise in CCTV footage and in-car camera recording facilities. Must be very cheap to produce.
Great to see a new series of Police Camera Action back on our screens on Monday! And not in a graveyard slot either (although the original series were shown much earlier on ITV). The new clips should be good due to improvements over car design, handling, speed cameras, new cop methods etc...
