Since that 2002 episode was in 4:3, I'd imagine that any new
episodes would be in 16:9, with all the clips cropped.
Although that would crop off the important speed info from the cameras, so I would
presume this would be one of those shows to hang on to 4:3 for as long as they can
I'm sure they'd find a way of making new episodes of this program in the 16:9 format, like the links between the clips would
be full frame uncropped 16:9, while the clips themselves would still be 4:3, but somehowpillarboxed within the 16:9 frame.
Something like this perhaps . . .

At least that way, the program could still be shown in widescreen, and the clips wouldn't be ruthlessly butchered.

But when was his first conviction?

I remember that Alastair Stewart was convicted for Drink driving sometime in 2003 or 2004 and at the time they mentioned that there were some new unaired episodes of Police, Camera, Action! and ITV were unsure whether to air them or not.

I think it was back in the 80s, around the time he was regularly presenting the News at 5:45.
I still can't believe they've reinstated him as presenter. It just seems totally inappropriate. What next? Garry Glitter on CITV?

But then people watching on analogue would end up with a 4:3 picture with a border around it.
Wasn't that the sort of thing that happened when they used to take 4:3 sports broadcasts and put red curtains either side so the people with widescreen tellies didn't think they were being cheated?
