Yes everyone's favourite dangerous driving based show is back!

Police, Camera, Action!
ITV1 (Not Scotland)
Starts Tuesday 17th January 2006 11pm

New series of the show in which Alastair Stewart presents more incredible examples of dangerous driving, as video footage from police cars across the country illustrates some alarming and often life-threatening behaviour on Britain's roads.

No doubt Alastair will be back doing his links in ridiculously random places like in a tank or on a speedboat for no reason what so ever!

Anyone remember when it was shown for the last time?

We get After They Were Famous and some Gaelic programme.

If you have Sky, just tune to channel 963.

Given the show was axed after Alastair Stewart was done for drink driving for the second time, I can't help feeling they could have done with a new presenter. Who wants to listen to him lecturing us about bad driving when he's proved he's happy to go out on the road after a skin-full?

the last time i saw it (an old episode, obviously) was when central didn't produce an election programme, whilst the rest of the network did, during some recent local elections.

its a shame the old series haven't turned up on granada men and motors

He didn't reverse down a Motorway slip road or do a 5 mile police chase that required the stinger depolying though, so should still be ok!

Does everyone remember those tenuious musical endings as well, trying to get a bit of footage to match a suitable bit of popular music

GREAT!!!

A simple half an hour show to enjoy before bedtime!! Alastair Stewart back as well! Also great! This show used to pull in 17 million viewers or so when it first started so it'll be great to see it back again.

Although putting it on at 11.00pm probably won't have the same effect! Rolling Eyes Another poor scheduling error from ITV!

It did say on Teletext last week that this year was going to be "The Year of Comebacks" on television. And with Lewis (or Morse), Cracker, The Generation Game, Bullseye and now Police, Camera Action, it seems that they were right! Very Happy

Fantastic News, the only good programme ever to come out of Carlton London. I knew some episodes were made some time ago, when Alastair Stewart was convicted for Drink Driving, Carlton said that there were some unaired episodes and that IIRC they weren't going to make anymore with Stewart as presenter. But nothing seems to have come from that.

But otherwise good News it's returning, the last time it was shown was in 2003 on ITV1 in the 7.30pm Tuesday slot for a couple of weeks.

Thoroughly enjoyed the programme whenever I used to catch it on, although slightly odd that they've shifted it to such a late slot. I shall keep an eye out for it.
