Worth skipping back on the iPlayer watch live while you can to about 17:54, sounds like they were having a bit of a mare!

BBC1 is having tonnes of faults lately.

Sounds like what you heard is what the network director calls the 'round-up'. They go through the next junction confirming when the voice over will happen (minus 24 seconds by the sound of it), what trails are going to TX and what time they will get to the news and who the newsreader is. All the regional galleries will be listening to this. Why it went out on air though...not sure!

ironically i would of actually caught the first fault had my school not been remote, as i would of used that trickery i used to get the Panorama fault to watch the end of Pointless leading into the news. Also "minus 24" for some reason reminded me of News 24.

Um, sorry I don't quite follow. What does your school being remote have to do with anything? You do realise this is TV Forum, any noteworthy breakdowns/issues on TV get videos made (as above) that you can watch at your leisure?
