Pointless, I cannot believe that its just me that gets fed up with the infantile banter between Armstrong and Osman, and why on earth does Armstrong need to read the clues TWICE on each subject, I am sure he just likes the sound of his own voice, it spoils an otherwise good programme.

Yup, wrong type of forum, we discuss the presentation. i.e. the bits in between the programmes and technical stuff, but sometimes programme content.

Oh I just assumed that something described as a TV forum, by remarking on programme content would be acceptable, be it good or bad

To be fair, we do discuss the programmes as much as the presentation on here now. But your initial post was very Digital Spy-esque, because of its vague title and the superficial complaint.

You might well not be the only one who doesn't like Pointless, but this just isn't really the place for airing your wholly subjective personal preferences about a program that millions of people enjoy - quite specifically for the banter, in fact, that's why they reduced it from 5 pairs to 4, so they could squeeze more of it in because people enjoy it - and which you could just choose not to watch.

Your snide sarcasm is unlikely to win anyone over, either.

Underneath the title on the homepage, it does say "The television presentation and related discussion website", which is a something of a clue.


I'm not sure why you think anyone is claiming to be intellectually superior to anyone else, but you will find that the forum membership includes many individuals who contribute to debates using their technical knowledge and experience.

Now if you wanted to moan about infantile banter between Meacock and Morris that would be a different story.

Your question is sound, but our forum members are not. Infantile banter is everyday fodder for us lot. If anything, Armstrong and Osamaman are pure ammeters in a world of geiger counters.

Ask the question again and see if you can get a better response this time - Armstrong would after all.
