Warwick Davis has been confirmed as the host of Planet's Got Talent, a new spin-off from Simon Cowell's hugely successful Britain's Got Talent franchise.

The six-part series arriving in 2015 will celebrate the most spectacular acts from the TV franchise's different series around the world.

I wonder if this another attempt to find something that will actually work on ITV's Tuesday night schedule, which generally has lower ratings than the rest of the week.

It's only a half hour clip show. Nothing of any significance.

Surprising they've opted for Warwick over either Stephen Mulhern or David Walliams, or anyone more associated with the brand.

I do wish the show itself would invite some of it's international winners on in the guest slots in the live series rather than the endless parade of Syco popstars.

Surely the presenter needs to be known worldwide, and Warwick is....

No, as mentioned above, it's a clip show, not an international version of BGT like World Idol. So if aired in other countries they could just redub the narration.

But they won't to redub the narration in english speaking countries now Warwick is presenting.

Agree - a far better clip show than that magic thing on BBC1 and also quite interesting from a pres point of view as the Got Talent format isn't as uniform presentation wise around the world as many other shows in the genre. The Indian set looked spectacular.

It also reminded me of You've Been Framed.
