I remember the cartoon PIF about the sequence of the traffic lights or something along those lines, which of course is those non PC days the cartoon man had to explain to the woman.

There was also the frisbee on the electricity pylon and the flying kites too near electricity lines.

My mum contributes my childhood fear of fireworks down to the PIFs about these - the girl picking up the sparkler by the wrong end sticks in my mind.

I seemed to remember they used to be shown a lot before Play School at 3.55 - how to definitely scare young children...

I also remember seeing one about Fire Prevention done in a charleston style during Night Time on Grampian.

The "Pick Your Lane Early and Stick To It" PIF is a classic. A little bit of comedy (the son asking his dad for advice on what to do at junctions, before revealing the reason why he asked for advice) while putting the message across.
