Yet oddly enough they announce "sky pick" ?, I wonder if the Sky part will appear in one of these matches and refresh (doubt it but why not just say Pick as the channel is?)
example: Fri June 19: Norwich vs Southampton - 6pm, Sky Sports, Sky Pick
I wouldn't read too much into it. They call Sky One, Sky 1...
You are right on that one as it reverted back to lettering than numbering awhile back too! , on the other maybe we can look at it as that Sky do seem to think of the channel these days as they did under its previous Sky 3 name so that has to be something!

I’d take that Sky Sports article as confirmation it’s changing to Sky Pick to be honest. We’ve now seen it referred to as this by Sky and a logo on a Freeview advert. The Sky One / 1 thing is nothing, either is correct regardless of the logo.
If true in another aspect I guess Pick will go the same way with logo onscreen shortly, as Sky has done with History/H2 ... logo appears onscreen then disappears....(again I know its not a concern in general but I prefer this approach these days and Sky is at least leading the way), I know that the sports channels will be kept onscreen and Sky News.

I doubt it, only their premium channels have done that (obviously with the exception of Sky Sports).

Originally History/H2 had their logos onscreen but since the partnership the logos and its own onscreen refresh it has indeed went the Sky route with the logo(s) it may well happen but I guess its just wait and see and if they do make changes to Pick.

You only need to look at Channel 5, ITV and more recently Channel 4. Pick's also FTA so why shouldn't they?

I am in no way of defending Sky but I prefer their logo approach in general (wasn't a fan of it originally), but in terms of logo onscreens via FTA it was Channel 5 originally, the only time Channel 4 had a logo on was for T4, ITV possibly CITV? Its only just been in the last few years ITV/Channel 4 have adopted a logo onscreen (compared to its sister channels where they have had the logos on for alot longer)
Seems that I was incorrect or they quickly changed the feed schedule, it seems that Sky Go now has the HD/SD feed. Can't tell for sure if it's either, as Pick HD doesn't appear in the HD category.
Newsquest has started to report on Pick becoming Sky Pick in its regional news titles and has approached Sky to confirm exactly when Pick will rebrand as Sky Pick.
Quote:
Sky Sports is hosting over two-thirds of the remaining games, 25 of which will be available to watch on their free-to-view TV channel Pick (soon to be rebranded as Sky Pick).
What is Pick/Sky Pick?
Originally known as Sky Three and as Pick TV - the rebranded Sky Pick is a freeview channel which provides viewers with a sample of Sky’s paid programming.
The channel is set to grow exponentially in popularity with the arrival of the Premier League.
We have approached Sky to confirm exactly when Pick will rebrand as Sky Pick.
Merlin has been around the houses recently. I believe Syfy had it not too long ago. It's also on Netflix too, and pre catalogued for a run on Amazon Prime in the future as well. It is of course widely available to purchase. It's also on an extended iPlayer window for the next five months. The Pick version on NOW TV has a Shine only endcap followed by distributed by Fremantle sting.

Merlin? That's a BBC show, why is it on Pick, and not, say, Drama?
It's also branded as 'The Adventures of Merlin' with a badly tacked on 'The Adventures of' which suggests to me it's the international version. NBC broadcast it in the US so perhaps Sky by extension now have the broadcast rights?
