Wonder after all the football is over will they return it to just being Pick and remove the HD channel? Seems a waste of effort if they did.

I was about to make a related point that hopefully, given all the effort that's being put into the channel at the moment, Sky will start to value Pick / Sky Pick a bit more. Sky has a huge library of shows that are no longer running on their subscription channels, but would be a welcome addition to Pick / Sky Pick and would likely give the channel a boost.

To also think that Pick was the original Sky Three in its heyday to go to Pick and then to be rebranded back under Sky as Sky Pick

I think Pick has changed alot since its Sky 3 days it has vastly improved, just a pity that Futurama is never aired on there (as it did as Sky 3) but I liked watching The Force North East -- it is good that if you like football there is sport on it, I wonder if this was a success other sport may get a look in on the channel?, use Pick as FTA Sky Sports Mix channel -- when I say this I just mean sport on it every now and again?

I agree with you that the channel has improved to an extent. However, it feels like whenever I tune in, there's some sort of police show which was filmed in 2005 at the latest. I don't mind some old programmes being shown (Airline will always be appreciated), but the variety could be better (i.e. including sport, as you mentioned), and given the number of Sky channels that now exist, they clearly have enough content that they could put onto Pick.

I wouldn't mind, the pay channels are also filled up with old episodes of Road Wars and the Bravo cop shows that Sky acquired when they purchased Virgin Media Television (formerly Flextech).

I can see it becoming some form of Sky portfolio channel - Sky's "Pick" of the best of their content you might like to watch. Some sport highlights, the occasional episode of a new series they want to feature, older episodes of long-running series, things like that.

I don't watch Pick as often but anytime The Force North East appeared I would watch it (surprised why Sky hasn't made anymore as its an alright show (ok its an independent company)), I didn't know this appeared on Sky 1, what I will say I see Pick is repeating Star Trek:TNG at 6pm (when it was repeated on Sky 1 it was 5pm!)...

Just to add I have noticed Caught On Dashcam is doing its rounds on the Sky channels (again correct me if wrong) but it seems that aired on Pick first before it went onto Sky 1/Witness etc and I am sure at times they have used Pick to run shows that haven't aired on the Sky channels (unfortunately if I had one in my head as an example I would say!)

I wonder if the idea of Pick is having a delay on shows to air, they recently had Stella on last year(?), so at a guess the other shows that have aired on Sky 1 are making their way to Pick in drip/drabs (Pick has also had You Me and the Apocolypse and that was 2015!)

Watched a bit of Star Trek TNG on Pick HD last night and the picture was very good, are they showing the HD remasters of the episodes or was it just really good upscaling?

Will Pick be labelled Pick HD at some point? I've got a channel labelled Pick on 159 and 895. The former has EPG entries marked HD and seems sharper so I'm assuming the HD swap is in play.

Also, while looking at this, I noticed that Sky Cinema Comedy in SD on 849 is labelled as 'Sky Comedy Cinema'...

Probably the HD remasters which are really good.

I think SyFy recently showed them?

I think whoever mocked up the Sky Pick logo on here has created the confusion and now Freeview have sourced it by accident.

Pick now showing in the Sky TV Guide at channel 895. Not showing as Sky Pick, or Pick HD, and not all programmes are marked as HD either.
