So I did.

That looks really good! I honestly think it looks better with the Sky logo but I know I’m probably in the minority with the channel’s overall branding 👍

That’s a nice idea! Why aren’t Sky actually doing that? 🤔

This could work, also on the Sky Sports Pick logo I’ve never seen the Sky part blue before 😐

...a visual idea, at least.

Some kind of ident-esque animation, starting from the end of a Pick ident, and merging into, like you said, a Witness ident.

A normal Pick ident starts it off, the text in the rounded rectangle... thing fades out with the graphics, the rectangle changes color to match the aforementioned channel, and said channel's name fading into the rectangle.

It's something. Smile


I'm agreeing with you on this.

Sky should start making Pick it's preview sky channel. They might not be able to show all programming like The Simpsons on Sky One. They could show Sky produced programminh like League Of Their Own or Save Me. They could even show one live football match per week. Possibly a match from the lower leagues like League 1 or 2.

I know Sky did this before with the free weekend but they could go back to doing that again.


Sky did do this when it was Sky Three, Pick TV and even in its current form Pick with blocks called “Sky Thursdays” by showing some Premium shows on the channel like recently with Supergirl, An Idiot Abroad, The Flash, Futurama and more, but I think they should permanently have Premium Sky shows in their schedule to keep people interested as they seem to only do it for about 3 months a year and then give up and just return to the same old Pick schedule of Police shows or reruns of old ITV or BBC shows like The Chase or Merlin 📺



Also who remembers when Sky Thursdays originally backfired with existing Sky Customers complaining that they should get a discount for allowing they paid Shows to be now free? 🤔 👇

Because the channel as it currently stands is likely to be more profitable than what is being suggested.

Apparently, 3 million viewers watched the football yesterday on Pick, total audience of 5.5m on all channels combined.

Just out of curiosity, is anyone out there able to determine the encryption status of Pick UK in SD? Was led to believe it was supposed to be encrypted at “Free to View” level (to satisfy rights issues) however I’ve seen people saying it’s encrypted to the Sky basic subscription tier?

Sorry, I meant the Sky version - it’s currently encrypted due to the football. Pick SD on Freesat is a different stream that doesn’t show to football.

So you’re asking if Pick SD on Sky is encrypted to Sky basic subscription level?
