Phillip Schofield to present 24 hours on ITV for Text Santa

Or, ITV Telethon '14 (sort of) - It's over! (October 2014)

Or... Why wouldn't they include all the regular live programming from across the day in the graphic.

It's a telethon, over 24 hours with Mr ITV appearing across the lot as a USP.

All the live stuff that's usually on will incorporate Text Santa as per but this year with Schof also in the studio chipping in (sans news obvs).

He'll be on a TV in Rita's living room on Corrie and on the front page of a newspaper in a lack-of-sleep related scandal in the shop in Emmerdale.

Everything else will be Text Santa studio based malarkey through the evening and overnight.

GMB as usual at 6am, but with the added thrill of our Phil all droopy lidded and disorientated with updates on how tired he is, how much coffee he's necked and how much they've raised so far, a couple of times an hour before joining Lozzer for a big cooked breakfast courtesy of that Dean or that other one or Nads.

At 9.25 Foxy and Kyle all cosied up in Christmas knits introducing pre-recorded visits to Text Santa beneficiaries so he can power nap before rounding it off in This Morning - cue bed (not the jingly jangly relentless beat sort, the too soft, too hard, just right sort) with a totaliser to the side and Mands passing him a hip flask of tequila every so often to much hilarity.

Probably. I don't watch much TV.

I do think he'll be doing every live show that ITV(1) will have. I think he's starting at 10.30am on 01/12 then going the full 24 hours, or so that what it appeared to sound like on This Morning...

Er it's not ITV(1) anymore, hasn't been since January 2013.
Notice the brackets either side of the '1'. He was being specific and showing that he was talking about about the channel. Rolling Eyes
gottago and TV Archive gave kudos

Didn't need to mention "1" at all. The channel is known simply as ITV. Rolling Eyes He should have wrote:

Emmmm no thanks, I'll stick to ITV(1) whatever you may think. If I'm referring specifically to the main channel then I'll write ITV, but because there will be live stuff happening across all channels what I wrote is warranted Rolling Eyes

Simon - what is the point on being so pedantic just for the hell of it? It adds nothing and it's boring to have in a thread.

Interesting that it will be spread across ITV2 and 3 even though neither will have live shows normally. Different audiences I suppose.
Not being "pedantic" just pointing out a fact that ITV hasn't been known as ITV1 since January 2013. Rolling Eyes

Yeah you've completely missed the point of why he used it and you're embarrassing yourself now.

Probably more because (as discussed) so he can do the event without ITV(1) having to take off some of their most popular programmes

I wonder if the idea will be to go back to the this morning studio for times when he's not on other live programming.
Of course they could have him present special editions of many of itv's programmes even if they're shorter editions. He could take on dickinson's real deal, judge rinder or even the chase.

Or a bit of in-vision continuity for old times sake with "Goodbye Northern Ireland" style opt out points when ITV goes to its non-live programmes?

He may have little prerecorded inserts in the soaps...

It would be nice to see a full schedule, do you think they'll produce one?
