A few people seem to be wondering what roles he will have, and suggesting some pretty stupid things.I think it's safe to assume he won't be a presenter on GMB or on News at 10 etc. Have some common sense.

Will Alan Titchmarsh or Paul O'Grady be on that date?

In a graphic that was used for GMB there was Alan Titchmarsh but not Paul O'Grady:

The graphic shows he will be doing ITV News AND Good Morning Britain. Phil said himself that he'll be doing the live output on ITV.

Please stop acting as if you have common sense and talking down to others, I'm sure I could drag up posts of yours and prove you don't. Mad Shocked

I wonder if he is going to be based in just one studio/set at ITV with the usual live programmes from there or if he'll be running about.

When it comes to the news I cant see him as a newscaster but presumably will be live linked to or interviewed.

The idea seems to be a combination of what David Walliams and Ant and Dec have done for Comic Relief in the past.

. Get a grip. He won't present itv news or GMB, as Ben said he'll most likely be live linked to itv news and interviewed from TLS. No doubt itv London will have him on to pad the show out. I'm not willing to have this 'argument' with you. Nor am I trying to 'bring anyone down' or whatever you said. I merely made a point, which you obviously don't agree with.

You made no point, you tried to make people look like they were stupid for asking. If he is going to do live 'contributions' to all programmes from somewhere at TLS, then it will be terrible. ITV wouldn't have had the idea if he was going to contribute at x minutes into each show, it clearly won't be a 24 hour broadcast by Phil then!

If he's going to be based on ITV 3 then I imagine the bulk of the presenting will be a specially commissioned 'event' show. He could then easily dip in and out of programming on the main station and ITV 2.

The way I have interpreted it (and others too probably) is that, although I understand it to be more than 'dipping in'. Otherwise they wouldn't parade GMB, Loose Women etc in graphics like that, in my opinion.

You are aware that was just a stock picture of Schofield with some ITV Programme logos in the background, probably knocked up by the graphics team at GMB. Not an official indication of what programmes he will be doing.

I highly doubt the graphics team at GMB would insert their own logo into something that isn't relevant to GMB.
