Phillip Schofield is to present non-stop for 24 hours for ITV's annual Text Santa campaign. No official press release from ITV yet, but it was confirmed on Twitter.

The way it is described makes it sound similar to Chris Moyles' marathon show back in 2011 (as the article also compares it to), with Schofe appearing on each of ITV's normally scheduled programmes, although that may not be exactly the case.
So it's out! I'm doing a 24hour live non-stop broadcast on @itv to launch @ITVTextSanta ... Can't actually remember the moment I said yes 😉

Quote:
Phillip Schofield is to broadcast for 24 hours non-stop to raise money for charity.
The TV presenter will host a number of shows starting with The Morning on December 1 and then doing a full day of hosting, minus toilet breaks, to generate cash for ITV's annual charity appeal Text Santa - and he is said to be "raring to go" for the challenge.
Earlier today Phillip text Andi Peters and said he was 'excited'.
The text read: "ITV wanted to find a new and different way to launch this year's Text Santa and they asked me if I wanted to film 24 hours, non-stop and broadcast.
"I took some persuading but as we get closer I'm getting more and more excited - text me again on the day at 4am and I'll tell you if it was a good idea. We've got a few things planned and one or two challenges. First and foremost I'm doing this for the charities."
