Asia Today is a really great program. Best view of the news around my home region (I'm from the Philippines, now living in Canada for 11 years Very Happy ).

But it was a surprise to find Philip Hayton hosting the show. I was expecting... um... what was her name? Anyway, I was expecting the USUAL Asia Today host, but he's on instead. No problems though. Wink

Phils a really nice chap.

Hes my favourite presenter of BBC World and BBC News 24 (Saturday only Sad)

Originally, Asia Today was presented by the presenter presenting BBC World News at the time of recording, i.e. Phil, Adrian Finighan, Stephen Cole, Nik Gowing etc. Now, they have redesigned and try to have it presented by an Asian presenter, i.e., Nisha Pillai, Navdip Dhariwal, Martine Dennis, Keshini Navaratnam etc. Perhaps Phil was the only person available at the time of recording.
