I presume that means he could take it to any other broadcaster who is interested - as indeed he threatened to move Hollyoaks off of C4 when Brookside was axed.

So why is he not saying "move it to BBC Switch" if he doesn't like what CBBC is doing? It's the perfect solution for him and the show.
I think you're right.
Perhaps Phil Redmond's decision making ability is generally questionable these days ?

Wonder if they'll bring back some of the old staff - it would be great if the final scene was of all staff and kids walking out of the school into the playground on a zoom out..but who knows, doubt it somehow.
Shame it has to come to an end but it was expected really and yes, wouldn't be surprised if Blue Peter is next.
A lot of this is the fact long running Children's TV is dying is because TV execs are changing the age barrier and times have moved on more than ever within the last 5 years sadly. Plus there's the ever-sliding budgets to consider.
