What set was used for this? Was it a fake one, or real one?
Doesn't look like the real one from the report going with that article, even though it says that they used the "genuine set and graphics". I think that means only the newsroom background, which was used.
Another to add to that list - that woman off London Tonight has been used in Spooks a few times (in the real studio, as well).
There seems to be a growing trend of real newsreaders being used in programmes - where they used to just get actors to do it. It does add a nice realistic element to them.
She is in the film "Mike Bassett, England Manager" for a few seconds presenting the news, but this was in her Sky News days, especailly as they use the 2001 only titles with different music.
I remember Peter Sissons in a Comic Relief Sketch too - they were doing 'presenters who didn't quite make the grade', and they had him in 'Question Time' mode as a Mastermind presenter. He asked the woman in the chair two questions, then turned to the audience and said "Let's be fair, now, let's have the man in blue at the back of the studio answer a few..." or something like that. He had a curly Seventies wig on too.... he's a good sport....
