Peter Hawkins passes away

Legendary childrens TV voice actor. (July 2006)

According to the Independent, Peter Hawkins, the voice of Bill and Ben (also the creator of their "Flobbadob" language) and Captain Pugwash, as well as being one of the original voices of the Daleks and Cybermen died last Saturday aged 82. Apparently he had been ill for quite some time:

As well as the ones mentioned above, he also worked on Spot the Dog, Superted, Jimbo & the Jetset, Tintin, Rainbow (Voicing Zippy in it's first series before handing the role to Roy Skelton) & Asterix amongst many others. RIP

Yes he had been ill for quite some time. Very sad news.

Can't we just have a passing away thread to celebrate those television legends who have sadly passed away? It would be easier, as what else can you say in threads like these other than RIP. I like the idea of a large thread where we can commemorate late television personalities.

Well the news has only just 'hit' the Sun, as BBC WM's Mollie Green mentioned it this morning & I pointed out it had been online for a few days already!
