Does anybody know anything about this?
http://perfectworldproject.tv

It appears to be a reality TV social experiment to see if you are happy if you have anything (though I don't know how they will truly test this as it is apparently only everything for a limited time so the contestants could never be truly happy (if at all) when knowing that it will end).

I've noticed a few friends putting the link onto Facebook, presumably they are looking for contestants that way.
The series will begin in London apparently and then go around the world. Is this connected to any network?

The Twitter account has a location of "North West England", not that means anything.
The "qualifying Conditions" of the project (which are not on that website but a separate one that has exactly the same design, contact details and looks and behaves the same) states:

http://pwpmail.net/wp posted:
Qualifying Conditions

Applicants must be aged between 18 and 60 and be of good health.
Applicants must hold UK residency.
Applicants must hold a valid passport and have no restrictions on international travel.
Applicants, if successful, must be able to spend at least 3 weeks abroad in 2015.
The initial short listed 100 applicants will be invited to attend the pre-production (filmed) auditions in which the final short list process will be announced.
Short listed applicants unable to attend may not be progressed. Applicants who are not available for a first round audition may still be considered at the sole discretion of the Producer.
Any applications not received in time for this series may be considered for next series or as reserves.
We cannot guarantee that all applicants will receive a response to their application.

Additional qualifying conditions may be added at the sole discretion of the producer.

Sounds interesting though, and if truth be told, it's the sort of thing Endermol would do, and it's the sort of show that Channel 4 could pull off, as it sounds like their cup of tea.

As I've heard nothing about it until today I get the feeling that there is no broadcaster linked to it yet.

I agree that it does sound like a very interesting experiment and very channel 4.

The website is very vague about who is behind all this, isn't it? It credits 'The Perfect World Production Company' as being the creator and producer of the project, and the only person I can see linked to that is the same Russ Priestley that appears on the website, with his LinkedIn only connecting him to an energy consultancy company besides Prefect World. And whilst it talks about there being 10 TV episodes, it doesn't say what channel these would air on.

Further digging suggests that Virgin could be involved in some way. Richard Branson is one of two channels that they subscribe to on YouTube, and their first tweet was this link, which takes you to a website about Richard Branson's private island, which could be the 'luxurious, sun drenched island' described in the 'about' section on the website.
