Just watching the show about Drama, and i'm suprised when they mention woman taking the centre stage in Police Dramas that they didn't mention Dempsey and Makepeace, which came years before Prime Suspect. Glynis Barber was super feisty was she not?

sorry if its been asked before, but are the regions planing on anything? London mainly of course. Has anyone got a list of the dates each region began?

TTTV stated in their yearly report that they would have a significant input into these programmes.

So far I don't see this in action.

IIRC it was only London that started in 1955. The Northern/Midlands areas were 1956, and another year at least for the rest.

So, once again, ITV are missing the point somewhat. ITV is only 46 years old as far as this area of the country is concerned. So somewhat pointless showing this here then really. Even more so in Northern Wales, where ITV is only 43 years old....

As for the programmes themselves, if they think this is shedding a good light on modern ITV then they aren't doing a very good job of it. In each area they've covered to date, they've simply banged home the fact that ITV was a much better station in the period prior to the 1990s than it is now, and showcasing the like of The Avengers and Brideshead Revisited makes the point painfully obvious.

I would expect that meant supplying clips of old Tyne Tees network programmes.
As you say Tyne Tees arn't 50. It's 50 years of the network therefore I shouldn't expect anything regional. There was probably a look back in the regional archives the last time they had a significant birthday

Well 50 isn't in the name of the show and as unrealistic as it is,they could make local versions of the logo.

Anyway, exciting news in the itv west thread on TVArk forum!
My sister's down by Hereford,so she could tape the Central show and i'll tape the westcountry show!

Interesting point made by allmediascotland.com in their spike section regarding the last programme, which talked about ITV claiming they had moved from a federal system to one company. News to SMG, UTV and Channel really.

The Network Features team based at Tyne Tees were working on a clips programme of Classic ITV Shows for later in the year. However, in common with the new arrangements to programme will go out as a Granada Yorkshire production.

Tonight's is the one that people on here will no doubt like, and at the same time dislike the most. It's about the business side of things. So expect lots of appearances by TV Forum's 2nd biggest hate figure and lots of ranting come 11.45pm tonight!

I wonder if they'll do a programme on the children's television ITV has produced.
