Penny Marshall has died

Maybe just don't try and be the first person to post about a death all the time? If it's reported in the news it will surely appear at some point if it's relevant.

Perhaps the suggested Dead Thread would be a better way of doing things.

The thing is, we're more likely to be interested in someone who works in the immediate tv industry passing away over an average actor or actress. It's really more for Digital Spy to be honest with these type of people.

However if David Jason passed away for example, a big name in the UK who has been in groundbreaking shows, that would be acceptable in my book.

All valid points. I think Whataday's idea of a "dead thread" would be suitable.
