I realise this is not the right forum for this sort of thing but I wish to apologise for being an increasing bar steward in recent times and for the genuine ill-feeling this has undoubtedly caused particularly in the last 24 hours.
The events of last night have particularly left me upset and made me have a good hard think about things. I was quite correctly described by one member as "very boring at times and like a stuck record" but certainly the last thing I wanted to do was cause censorship here; unfortunately a disproportionate amount of a particular thread was deleted in response and I particularly apologise to Mr Scott especially when the points he made were indisputable.
Yes, perhaps I do take things too seriously. I have fixed ideas about certain things which I am very passionate about and yes I can be pompous, surly and overbearing at times. I should also explain that I have had various issues this year (including some particularly bad family news on Monday) which of course is no excuse nor does it explain my earlier abrasive conduct. But believe it or not I genuinely don't want to cause any ill-feeling or to offend or hurt anyone who posts here on TV Forum - I believe no-one's opinion is wrong here, and I would genuinely like to be able to "lighten up" and praise more as has been suggested to me!
So with the season of goodwill almost upon us, I hereby offer an olive branch to all and promise to rein in my activities here. In the coming weeks we should all have some great things to discuss here, and with your permission Asa and mods, I'd like to be part of that and to make far more of an effort here. Particular apologies once again to Mr Scott and Sput.
