What does PBS have to do with the License fee?

I was just think that why can't BBC share the license fee. Do you think PBS UK will be a worth a view on launch night

Just dipping in and out of the test transmissions, the picture quality on some of the programmes is shocking, really soft images on the Antiques Roadshow that was just on.

I put on the test channel after work while waiting for the News at Six to come on, but all I got was a black screen with a PBS DOG in the corner.

However, it was nice to see that they'd put the DOG in the corner for 16:9, and not 4:3 safe

Agreed. The other half asked if there was a problem with the TV! I guess it's 525 lines upscaled to 625 lines or something akin to that?

Whenever I stumbled across Antiques Roadshow over in the US it looked pretty soft there too. The standards conversion to the UK won't have helped
