This is a frustrating programme as it has the potential. It has some decent questions but the difficulty seems so random. However it is too slow and needs more questions. Also the booking policy. Fay Ripley has got about 2 questions in 2 shows and Shirley Ballas basically didn't know anything as she was US based for large chunk of her life.

I’m sticking with this but it’s a frustrating watch, and quite flat. Faye is a really odd choice given her lack of any TV knowledge whatsoever. I don’t understand why she was chosen, was there no pilot? Chizzy, Katherine or Josh would have been better - the latter sparring with Rob quite nicely in the first episode.
Shirley was rubbish as a guest too - was it just a case of phoning around some agents and seeing who’s available for an afternoon? They’d be better off having some regular people who think they have good TV knowledge and the team captains as the celebs.
Noel at least had some enthusiasm about the whole format - Paul seems to have less so. And this from someone who really enjoyed his Radio 4 show. That Telly Addicts clip on the other page is a great example, why is that kind of pace and atmosphere not possible 30 years later?
A couple of odd conventions missing too - bits like flashing up a picture of the answer in the first round (eg showing a still of Dave Berry from the first clip in ep 1, or a picture of Cilla etc.). A proper clip during the ‘guess who’ reveal would have been nice too.
The opening titles and clock are a lovely touch though.

Maybe he should have been team captain
I agree entirely - Faye seems to know nothing about TV. I think Shirley said yes to everything in the late autumn as as well as this she was on everything over Christmas.
