Going back to the Channel 4 show, Joe Pasquale presented today as O'Grady was at the dentist (after mentioning earlier in the week that he had a bad tooth).

When would todays (Thursday) show have been recorded? Which shows are live and which are recorded and when?

He said on Tuesday's show that he'd been to the dentist, so he must have gone while the 12:30 show for today was being recorded

Just think, with a budget cut they wouldn't have been able to afford tonight's "The return of the P Team", what a shame that would be.

The "P Team" stuff is an utterly pointless waste of time. If he is going back to ITV to do a primetime programme, I hope we've seen the last of all this filler nonsense.

Being after the watershed doesn't automatically mean being adult orientated. There are a lot of family shows on after 9pm. Obviously he will be a bit more risque but I think he can still keep the family image he currently has. But it definitely needs a complete overhaul, in fact they have to go right back to the drawing board and forget all about The Paul O'Grady Show of 2004-2009 and treat it as a brand new show. That would mean axing all of the regulars, features etc and I think it could benefit from becoming more entertainment based.

Paul needs to be able to stand on his own two feet abit more and he at it's best with risque material. He's clearly gone as far as he can with this current format and it's being propped up by..well...second rate rubbish. I.e. P Team.

I imagine it'll be 9pm Friday and though post-watershed, essentially family friendly. I imagine the basic structure of the show will change from 2 desks + filler to just having 3 guests, probably with one of them providing live music.

He has built up a family orientated audience, but, equally, he can build a new prime time audience as well. I think he'll be a lot better after the watershed as he'll have more freedom over what the show can do.

I always liked Lily Live he did a few years ago for late-night ITV, that was a good mix of entertainment and chat; plus the contribution from the regulars (Gayle Tuesday and Mary Unfaithful) and punters were kept to an amusing minimum.

I loved Lily Live as well. I watched a clip a few weeks ago when he hijacked the stage when Steps were performing Laughing class!

A reference to Fern Britton I take it? I don't recall Paul saying he'd be absent this week/today, unless I missed something?
