I'd imagine it's good practice to book it for longer than the scheduled time of the programme in case there are any schedule changes, and possibly to allow feeding of trailers etc to C4.

Does anyone remember the time when someone here found that frequency on Sky which was a live feed from BT of Richard & Judy preparing for their show, and it also showed them in the ad breaks, barely talking to each other.

no, would have been fun to see though

remember during the bigger breakfast they left the mikes up during a cartoon and you could hear Dermotte O'Lery and Mellanie Sykes rehearsing the next part and just chatting with the crew Confused

and nobody on the programme noticed

It's guests hosts again next week. Monday - Des & Mel, Tuesday - Mel B, Wednesday - Joe Pasquale, Thursday - Ross Kemp and Friday - Joan Collins. Also Paul himself will be a guest on Friday.

Isn't it Jackie Collins on the friday? I'm sure that they were on about it the other week when both Mel B and Jackie Collins were on, presumebly Jackie and/or Mel B recorded their shows then. As for Monday, it's interesting that its going to be Des and Mel on Monday, it'll be nice to have a reunion, but how will both fit behind the desk, unless they swap the desks for their edition.

Yes I meant Jackie Collins, not Joan.

With Paul off this week will the shows be the usual live shows Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with the recorded ones as usual on Thursday and Friday?

I think they have already recorded Friday's show which will have Jackie Collins as host with Paul as guest along with Paris Hilton.

When they promoted Friday's show I saw small clip of Paris coming out onto the set, I don't think she has been on the show before so they must have recorded this show well in advance?

It was good to see Des & Mel back together, and a nice edit to the desk too. It's a shame that ITV dropped their programme, it always made a welcome change to loose women when I worked late shifts. I think the problem with Today with Des & Mel came when they tried to put it on at 5pm, though the better shows were the ones that were produced at Teddington, before they moved to the London Studios, whether it was their choice to move the show or ITV's is something I've never known, but did wonder.
Weirdly today's show featured parts of the show in the pre titles menu, but they then did a paper review, unless they were old or made up stories.

I think Des and Mel recorded the show at 12.30pm on Monday. I heard it was something to do with their availability.

I think today's and tomorrows show will be live with Thursdays and Fridays pre-recorded. I am sure the Paris Hilton edition was recorded last week though.

I have just seen on the lost in tv website that Joe Pasquale will record his edition today at 12.30pm and Ross Kemp will do his show today at 4.30pm.

Mel B must have recorded her show last night at 4.30pm, that is why Des and Mel did theirs at 12.30pm.

This means that they will only use Studio 2 in the London Studios for 2 days this week only.

I just hope C4 aren't considering Des and Mel to fill the Richard and Judy slot.

I had wondered that myself, their reunion yesterday seemed prophetic somehow... I can think of far worse things that could replace R&J!

Anyone else think Paul O'Grady guesting on his own show was more to enable them to plug his book for ten minutes than for the purposes of entertainment.
